The Tuscany Region participated today at the table of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy for Vibac Spa, the multinational that produces adhesive tape and which, among the various factories in Italy, also has one in Vinci (Florence). The urgent meeting was requested by the trade union organizations of all the group’s sites in the country: in addition to Tuscany, also Piedmont, Abruzzo and Molise.
Reassurances from the company have reached the Vinci site which, after having faced the floods of November ’23, is working and continuing production. Tuscany shared at national level the experience of three years ago, when the regional crisis table took charge of the Vibac dispute and managed, with the collaboration of all the subjects, to prevent the closure of the plant, maintain production and save jobs.
The news on the production and employment future of the plants in Basilicata and Molise is causing particular alarm, so much so as to induce the unions to request a meeting with the Ministry: the concern concerns in particular the news of the collective dismissal procedure in Termoli (Cb) and also the Grumeto Nova plant, in Viggiano (Potenza), where the deadline for the CIGS due to company crisis is looming on July 9th.
