‘Evolving craftsmanship. Perspectives and tools for Made in Italy’. This is the title of an initiative, organized by the Region and Municipality of Florence, which will be held next Wednesday, 17 February, at the Vecchio Conventino complex in Florence. The event is part of the National Made in Italy Day which is celebrated today, Monday 15 April, and which includes a busy calendar of initiatives until next 21 April.

The meeting on Wednesday 17 April aims to create a moment of meeting between the various public and private actors operating in the sector with the aim of collecting proposals also in consideration of the innovations introduced by the law on Made in Italy.

Artistic craftsmanship has always played a crucial role for many local economies, especially in a region like Tuscany which over the years has always stood out at a national level. Recently the Region and the Municipality of Florence signed an agreement and opened a tender with the aim of creating a reference center for regional artistic craftsmanship within the complex of the Vecchio Conventino of Florence.
