Next Monday, January 23, the long-awaited National Final of the X Copa Jerez will be held in Madrid, a prelude to the Copa Jerez Forum & Competition congress, where four chef and sommelier teams from some of the most important restaurants in the national territory will compete, with their harmonies, the representation of Spain in the international final of the competition, which pits the best of eight countries against each other.
Everything will take place during an intense day that will begin in the morning at the School of Hospitality of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, which will be attended by both the finalist teams and the juries in charge of tasting and evaluating their proposals, consisting of a menu of three dishes each of them paired with a Sherry Wine.
That same day, in the afternoon, during the celebration of the Madrid Fusión gastronomic summit, the participating restaurants and judges will star in a tasting-presentation in which attendees will be able to taste some of the harmonies submitted to the contest.
Thus, this call will constitute a unique opportunity to learn about the exceptional pairing proposals from the hands of their creators and witness how they manage to defend them before the jury, whose verdict we will also hear live.
For greater emotion, the appointment will be with recognized temples of our gastronomy, among which there are up to seven Michelin stars:
- Atrium*** (Cáceres), with chef Alberto Montes and sommelier José Luis Paniagua, who already represented Spain in the 6th Copa Jerez and was also selected as a finalist in the last 9th Edition.
