The Zamora Company, owner of renowned beverage brands such as Licor 43, Ramón Bilbao and Martin Miller’s Gin, has taken a big step towards consolidating its global vision with the recent addition of Javier de la Viuda as Global Director of Operations. This appointment demonstrates the group’s intention to strengthen the different operational areas of the company, with a more comprehensive perspective and transversal scope.
Javier de la Viuda, who has more than two decades of professional experience, has worked in leading consumer, retail and distribution companies. His skills have been strengthened thanks to his time at Procter and Gamble, Diageo, PepsiCo and Caprabo, among others. Throughout his career, De la Viuda has directed various operations projects from start to finish, covering areas as diverse as manufacturing, logistics, demand planning, warehouse management, customer service, and purchasing.
His extensive career and his achievements in the field of operations, added to his ability to manage multicultural teams in different countries around the world, make De la Viuda an invaluable asset for Zamora Company. This professional background will allow him to contribute an enriching vision to the company and will promote the growth and development of its operations on a global level.
As part of his new responsibility, De la Viuda will be a member of the company’s Executive Committee and will report directly to the CEO of Zamora Company, Javier Pijoan. Pijoan expressed his enthusiasm for the incorporation of De la Viuda, stressing that “the knowledge and experience that Javier will bring as the new global Director of Operations will be very enriching for the company.” In addition, Pijoan is confident that De la Viuda’s passion, understanding, collaboration and shared vision will help take the company to the next level.
It is relevant to note that De la Viuda, during his time at Diageo, held various positions of responsibility. He became general director of the group for Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia, leading a team of 60 people. Likewise, he assumed the position of director of the supply chain for Iberia, until reaching the position of vice president of Operations for Central America, the Caribbean and Latin and South America. In this last position, De la Viuda led a team of more than 300 people in 10 countries.
De la Viuda, after his appointment, has expressed his enthusiasm and sense of responsibility by joining Zamora Company, an organization that he has always admired for its innovative vocation, its valuable human talent and its social commitment.
Javier de la Viuda is a senior industrial engineer, graduated from the Polytechnic University of Madrid with a specialty in industrial organization. After obtaining his degree, he completed an MBA at the School of Engineering and completed his academic training at the prestigious IESE Business School of the University of Navarra.
