INNOVI, the Catalan Wine Cluster, announces the return of MORA, the Online Grape Market, which has established itself as an essential tool for the wine industry. In collaboration with Inaudit, a cluster partner, MORA approaches its second edition with a renewed and improved platform.
The MORA has established itself as an essential tool to establish connections between viticulturists and processors in the grape market. Through this platform, accessible from both mobile and computer web browsers, winegrowers can publish their grape offers, while winemakers can express their specific demands.
In this second phase, MORA maintained its focus on grapes as a fundamental raw material for the production of quality wines and sparkling wines. The platform provides a simple and detailed interface so that users can publish their offers and demands for grapes, including relevant information such as the variety, the Denomination of Origin, the type of production (biodynamic, organic or conventional), the collection method ( manual or mechanical), the yield per hectare and the type of formation of the vines, among others.
One of the main advantages of MORA is that it allows winemakers to carry out a precise search among the different offers from winegrowers, while they can accurately detail their needs when they publish their demands. This facilitates a direct connection between supply and demand, eliminating intermediaries in the buying and selling process.
MORA is a free platform that contributes to improve grape harvest planning by viticulturists and provides visibility to wineries that have difficulties accessing certain varieties, volumes and characteristics of the vineyards. With the aim of promoting direct connection between the actors in the sector, the MORA emerges as an innovative solution that facilitates commercial transactions and encourages collaboration in the wine industry.
INNOVI invites all winegrowers and winemakers interested in joining MORA and taking advantage of its functionalities to improve their activities and establish new connections in the grape market. This initiative has been possible thanks to the support of ACCIÓ, Agency for Business Competitiveness of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
To obtain more information about MORA and to join the platform, it is necessary to visit the website mora.innovi.cat.
The official launch of this new version of MORA took place this Wednesday, July 5, with a presentation ceremony in Falset, within the Conference on Tools for the competitive reinforcement of small wineries, and with a press conference in Vilafranca del Penedès. On Monday, July 10 at 1:00 p.m., there will also be an online presentation to winegrowers and winemakers. This seminar will allow the participants to obtain a complete vision of the functionalities and advantages of the platform. A detailed tutorial video will also be posted on INNOVI’s YouTube channel to guide users in using the platform.
