Grupo Freixenet, a prestigious wine company based in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, Barcelona, ​​has announced the addition of Marc Sagimon in the role of Marketing Director for Spain and Latin America. Sagimon, who has a long history in the industry, previously worked at the company as Global Brand Manager from 2012 to 2015, and later as Global Marketing Manager from 2015 to 2017. With his return, he is expected to bring fresh focus and leadership to the marketing department.

The Freixenet Group is widely recognized for its world leadership in the production of quality sparkling wines using the traditional method. With more than 150 years of history, the company has maintained a firm commitment to technology and eco-innovation, which has resulted in a more efficient and sustainable production of its products. In his new role, Marc Sagimon will focus on leading the Freixenet Group’s marketing strategy, with the aim of improving the value of the brands that make up the group and guaranteeing consumer satisfaction. The brands that will be under his responsibility include Freixenet, Segura Viudas, Alfred Gratien, René Barbier, Monólogo, and Mangaroca, among others.

Sagimon expressed his enthusiasm to join the Grupo Freixenet team again, mentioning that it is an honor to be part of a leading company in the sector with iconic brands, and that he is eager to help people celebrate special moments through the products of the company.

It is important to highlight the academic training and professional experience of Marc Sagimon. He has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), and completed an academic exchange at the Delft University of Technology (TUDelft), in addition to obtaining a master’s degree in Business Consulting from the School of Industrial Organization (EOI). In addition, he has more than 13 years of experience in management roles in marketing, trade marketing, sales and business consulting, primarily in the pharmaceutical and professional services sector.

The Freixenet Group is also known for its ability to adapt and evolve. In 2018, the company established a strategic alliance with the German company Henkell, which strengthened its position as a world leader in sparkling wines. This alliance has allowed both companies to mutually benefit and expand into international markets.
