Wines from Terra Alta pair with the galley

This Friday, February 11, the IX edition of the Gastronomic Days of the Galera de las Terres de l’Ebre begins. Some forty restaurants from Alcanar, L’Ametlla de Mar, L’Ampolla and Sant Carles de la Ràpita participate in nine of these conferences, offering gastronomic menus with the galley as the protagonist, a local and quality product typical of ‘Ebro.

For yet another year, these menus will be paired with wines from the Terra Alta Denomination of Origin, which with its white Garnacha will accompany proposals such as red rice with galley and artichoke, wild sea bream with galley stew and sea ramillo, fish stew with galleys and prawns in the style of the Rapitense fishermen, or casserole of galleys sautéed with young garlic, among many other proposals.

The conferences, which last until March 13, are a good opportunity to enjoy local and local gastronomy, as is the case with this crustacean, which is also a source of protein, vitamins and minerals, as well as low in calories and easy digestion. A product that pairs perfectly with the white Garnacha from the DO Terra Alta.

This year, in addition, participating in the Jornadas de la Galera can have a prize. And it is that all those who come to any of the restaurants attached to the Conference and take a photograph of one of the dishes on the menu where the galley is the protagonist together with the bottle of DO Terra Alta wine, can participate in the photographic contest of Instagram #JornadesGalera uploading your photo to the social network.

The contest will have two winners, who will win a batch of DO Terra Alta wines or a wine tourism experience for two people at one of the member wineries of the DO Terra Alta Wine Route.

The contest rules can be found at this link, and the deadline for submitting photographs is from February 11 to March 13.
