This past weekend, the small town of Sant Llorenç d’Hortons was the setting for the second edition of the Natural Winegrowers Fair. The initiative, promoted by the MamBo tavern, managed to gather close to 800 attendees, including professionals from the wine industry and enthusiastic lovers of it.
On this occasion, the fair was attended by 55 winegrowers, not only from different regions of Catalonia, but also from Perpinyà and Teruel. The organizers have expressed their satisfaction with the success of the event, which exceeded expectations in terms of attendance and participation.
Unlike the previous edition, this year the fair allowed the attendance of both professionals and consumers during the two days of the event, which took place on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June.
Rubén Parera, viticulturist and one of the organizers of the event in collaboration with the partners of the MamBo tavern, affirmed that the Natural Viticulturists Fair has fulfilled the objective of serving as a showcase and providing visibility to new producers who cultivate vineyards, make wine through the fermentation of grape juice, and promote their wine projects.
Regarding the future of the event, which in the last two editions has been held in the Penedès region, the organizers announced that a debate will be opened with the participating winegrowers to define the focus of the third edition. The intention is to direct the event towards a specialized public of international scope, and there is the possibility that it will be held again in Sant Llorenç d’Hortons, coinciding with the realization in Barcelona of some other renowned natural wine fair.
It is important to highlight that the fair has served as a platform for the promotion of natural wines and has provided a unique opportunity for producers and consumers to interact directly, share experiences and broaden their knowledge about the world of wine.
The second edition of the Natural Winegrowers Fair in Sant Llorenç d’Hortons has marked a milestone in the promotion of natural wines, laying the foundations for future events and collaborations between producers and wine enthusiasts.
